today confirmed a rare performance at the Los Angeles Knitting Factory
on
Wen. November 13, 2002.
Mike Watt will share the bill.
The
club has fairly limited capacity and this engagement is expected
to sell out
quickly.

Former Independent Project Records label-mates Camper Van Beethoven
are performing at the same club this August.
SAVAGE
REPUBLIC REUNION A ONE TIME DEAL TO PROMOTE
REISSUE
OF COMPLETE STUDIO RECORDINGS
A
spokesperson for the band said "This is a one time event.
At
this point the band has no plans to reform". The band
agreed to do
this one time reunion to promote the recent reissue on San
Francisco label Mobilization Recordings of the bands entire
studio
works. This reissue features stunning hand letterpressed covers
by
Savage Republic member Bruce Licher of Independent
Project Press.
This performance will be the bands first appearance in over 13
years, since their explosive Final Performance in Claremont,
California on Feb. 25, 1989. A DVD and digital audio recording of
that last performance is scheduled for release on Mobilization
Recordings
on October 23, 2002, just prior to the reunion.
SAVAGE REPUBLIC WILL ALSO HEADLINE NEUROSIS ORGANIZED
"BEYOND THE PALE" FESTIVAL IN SAN FRANCISCO
The band will also headling in San
Francisco at
the Beyond the Pale festival. Schedule details are still being arranged.
